Applied Nutrition ISO-XP Whey Protein Isolate (850 grams) is a protein powder based on ultra-filtered whey protein isolate from European, grass-fed cows. One 25 g scoop provides 22 g protein, less than 1 g carbohydrates, and 94 kcal. The powder is instant and mixes easily with 200 ml of water or skimmed milk, letting du quickly make a shake that fits easily into your daily routine. The packaging provides 34 servings. ISO-XP is available in the following flavours: Strawberry, Caffé latte, Choco Caramel, Choco Coco, Choco Honeycomb, Choco Peanut, Chocolate Hazelnut, Chocolate Dessert, Cookies ‘N’ Cream, Vanilla, and White Choco-Hazelnut.
Whey, also known as whey, is the liquid left over when cheese is made from milk. For a long time, whey was regarded as a by-product. Nowadays, it is one of the most commonly used protein sources in protein powders.
Whey protein concentrate generally contains about 70 to 80% protein. An isolate is extra filtered, which removes more fat and carbohydrates, increasing the protein content to 90% or more. As a result, an isolate serving contains more protein and less fat and carbohydrates than a concentrate serving.
With ultrafiltration, the whey is passed through very fine membranes. The protein remains behind, while much of the fat, carbohydrates and water are separated out. This produces a concentrated protein powder.
An instant powder is treated so that it quickly gets wet and dissolves as soon as it comes into contact with a liquid. This means ISO-XP mixes easily, even if du only use a shaker.
ISO-XP is sweetened with sucralose, a sweetener made from sugar and about 600 times sweeter. This means that only a very small amount is needed.
With water the shake stays light and the number of calories per serving is lowest. With skimmed milk the shake becomes creamier and du also get the protein and calories from the milk.
