Applied Nutrition BEEF-XP Beef Protein Isolate (1800 grams) is a clear protein powder made from hydrolysed beef protein isolate from grass-fed cattle. One 30 g scoop provides 27 g of protein, including all essential amino acids, for around 112 kcal. When mixed with water, it creates a clear, refreshing fruit-flavoured drink rather than a creamy shake. You can also stir the powder into porridge or breakfast cereals or use it in baking recipes, making it easy to fit into your daily routine. The package provides 60 servings. BEEF-XP is available in the following flavours: Strawberry & Raspberry, Pineapple, Lemon-Mint, Citrus, Cola, Raspberry, Mixed Berry Lemonade, Cherry & Apple, Orange & Mango, Tropical Vibes, and Blackcurrant.
Beef protein isolate is protein derived from beef and then purified into an isolate. This creates a powder that consists mainly of protein and contains little fat.
Hydrolysis means that proteins are broken down into smaller pieces, called peptides, using enzymes. This makes the powder dissolve well in water and creates a clear drink.
Clear protein is a protein powder that does not form a creamy shake, but a clear, light drink. Structurally, it's more like squash or lemonade than a milkshake.
Whey protein is derived from milk, as a by-product of cheese production. Beef protein comes from beef. Both protein sources contain all essential amino acids but differ in taste and texture. This protein mixes into a clear drink; whey protein usually into a creamy shake.
Essential amino acids are the nine amino acids that you need to get from food. One serving of BEEF-XP contains all nine.
The beef protein comes from cattle that get a large part of their feed from grass, rather than mainly from compound feed.
