Quatrefolic® is a patented form of 5-MTHF (5-methyltetrahydrofolate), the biologically active form of folate (vitamin B11). It is bound to glucosamine salt, ensuring good stability, solubility, and bioavailability.
The recommended daily amount for women trying to conceive or who are pregnant is 400 mcg of folic acid. A dosage of 1000 mcg may be suitable for pregnant women, but only under the guidance of a doctor.
