Nordic Naturals Men's Multivitamin (60 gummies) is a multivitamin in gummy form, specially formulated for adult men. The formula contains 11 vitamins, including vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), active B vitamins such as B12 (methylcobalamin) and B2 (riboflavin-5-phosphate), and folic acid. The gummies also contain vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7), vitamin C, E and inositol. The gummies are sweetened with organic cane sugar and rebaudioside M. With just 2 gummies a day, this is an easy way to get extra nutrients.
The vitamin D3 is added as cholecalciferol. This form is usually derived from lanolin (wool fat), and is therefore not vegan, but it is the most commonly used and absorbable form of vitamin D.
The vitamin E is present as RRR-alpha-tocopherol. This is the natural form, which is better absorbed than the synthetic variant (DL-alpha-tocopherol).
Vitamin K2 is added as menaquinone-7 (MK-7), a form that stays active in the body longer than other types of vitamin K, such as K1 or MK-4.
Methylcobalamin is an active form of vitamin B12 that can be used directly by the body, without needing to be converted first.
These gummies contain folic acid listed as 400 mcg DFE (Dietary Folate Equivalent). DFE is a calculation unit indicating how much biologically available folate a form of folic acid provides. So itās a standardized approach to availability.
The niacin is present as inositol hexanicotinate, a form that usually does not cause āflushingā (redness and warmth), unlike regular niacin.
