Lindens Glucomannan (Konjac Fiber) 500mg is a supplement based on a natural ingredient derived from the root of the Konjac plant. This plant is native to Japan, China, and South Indonesia. Konjac flour is refined, removing starches, alkaloids, and pigments, leaving glucomannan. Glucomannan has the ability to absorb water and can expand up to 50 times its own weight.
Glucomannan is extremely fiber-rich and is therefore used in lower doses compared to other fiber-based supplements. After ingestion, it forms a gel-like consistency, which can affect the texture of food. The product is approved by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
