The capsule is made of fish gelatin and contains no ingredients from beef or pork.
Cod liver oil is an oil that naturally occurs in the liver of certain fish species. It contains omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins such as A and D.
Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fats that you get through food. Cod liver oil mainly contains the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.
In Bonusan Cod Liver Oil Forte, vitamin A is added in the form of retinyl palmitate, a well-absorbed and stable form of this fat-soluble vitamin.
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is the form used in this supplement. D3 naturally occurs in animal products and is better absorbed than D2, which usually comes from plant sources.
This supplement contains fat-soluble substances such as vitamin A and D3. Taking it with a meal supports the absorption of these fatty components more efficiently. In addition, a meal helps make swallowing the softgel more comfortable.
