Vitals chooses packaging of dark glass, which protects the contents from the effects of air, light, and moisture. In addition, a moisture-absorbing packet is included in the packaging, and it is sealed with an airtight aluminum seal. This further guarantees the viability of these bacterial strains.

Microbiol Trio Basic contains three carefully selected bacterial strains: Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG®), Lactobacillus acidophilus LA-5®, and Bifidobacterium lactis BB-12®. Each capsule contains 1 billion CFU (colony forming units) per strain, a total of 3 billion per capsule. This designation refers to the number of viable bacteria per capsule at the time of production.

The capsules are developed with delayed release (time-release), which means they dissolve later in the digestive tract. This provides extra protection for the bacterial cultures during their passage through stomach acid. It helps to release the cultures at the right place in the body.

Before opening, the product can be stored at room temperature, provided it is dry and well sealed. After opening, it is recommended to store the capsules in the refrigerator for optimal shelf life of the bacterial strains.
