Solgar Vitamin D3 (60 or 120 capsules) contains 100 mcg vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) per capsule, derived from wool fat. Vitamin D3 is widely used in supplements and is a fat-soluble vitamin. This product is intended for adults who want to temporarily supplement their vitamin D intake with a high-dose supplement, or as advised by a specialist.
Vitamin D3 is the most effective and biologically available form of vitamin D.
This product is suitable for vegetarians as the capsule is plant-based. However, it is not suitable for vegans because the vitamin D3 in this supplement is derived from wool fat (lanolin), an animal source.
