Quicksilver Methyl Charge+ (50 ml) is a liquid supplement containing four B vitamins: B2 (riboflavin-5-phosphate), B6 (pyridoxine HCl), B12 (methylcobalamin) and folate (in the form of calcium folinate). It also contains trimethylglycine (TMG), a substance naturally found in, for example, beets. The formula is liquid and is absorbed via the oral mucosa. This makes it convenient for people who prefer not to use tablets or capsules.
TMG is a compound also known as betaine. It naturally occurs in, among other things, beets and is often added to formulas containing active B vitamins in supplements.
In this formula, some B vitamins are used in biologically active forms, such as methylcobalamin (B12), riboflavin-5-phosphate (B2), and calcium folinate (folate).
Liposomal supplements contain microscopically small fat bubbles (liposomes) that help absorb the ingredients in the mouth via the mucosa. This makes the liquid form a practical alternative to capsules or tablets.
Absorption through the oral mucosa is best when there are no other substances such as food or drink present in the mouth. Therefore, intake on an empty stomach is advised.
