What is Chlorophyll?

Chlorophyll is a green pigment naturally produced by plants and algae. It gives them their characteristic green color and plays a role in photosynthesis, the process by which sunlight is converted into chemical energy.

What is sodium-copper chlorophyllin?

Sodium-copper chlorophyllin is a stabilized, water-soluble form of chlorophyll. In this compound, the central components of the natural pigment are replaced by sodium and copper to make it more soluble in liquids.

What is the difference between chlorophyll and sodium-copper chlorophyllin?

Chlorophyll from plants is fat-soluble and less stable. Sodium-copper chlorophyllin is a modified, water-soluble form that is better suited for use in liquid supplements.

Why does this supplement contain copper and sodium?

Copper and sodium are part of the chemical structure of sodium-copper chlorophyllin. So they are not added minerals, but are part of the active ingredient.
