Nature’s Way Alive! Multivitamin Gummies for Men (60, 130 or 150 gummies) contain 15 vitamins and minerals, including 8 B vitamins, in a chewable, fruit-flavoured gummy. A daily serving of 2 gummies provides, among other nutrients, 20 mcg vitamin D3, 112.5 mg vitamin C, 6 mcg vitamin B12, 150 mcg iodine and 86.3 mcg selenium. In addition, each serving contains 50 mg fruit and vegetable blend from carrot, pomegranate, blueberry, spinach and apple, supplemented with lycopene and inositol. The gummies are made with pectin as a gelling agent and are suitable for vegetarians. The formula is developed for men. Simply chew 2 gummies per day, so one pack lasts for 30, 65 or 75 days, depending on the pack size.
Fat-soluble vitamins dissolve in fat. These are vitamins A, D, E and K. Water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water. These are vitamin C and all B vitamins. This multivitamin contains both fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins.
Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) is obtained from yeasts and mushrooms. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) mostly comes from animal sources, such as wool fat (lanolin). There is also a plant-based form from lichen.
Vitamin E is naturally found in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, avocado and green leafy vegetables.
Vitamin C is naturally found in vegetables and fruit, such as citrus fruits, kiwi, strawberries, peppers and broccoli. In this multivitamin, vitamin C is used as ascorbic acid.
Folate is the natural form of vitamin B9 and is found in leafy vegetables, legumes and wholegrain products. Folic acid is the synthetic form which is often used in supplements. On the label, folate is stated as DFE (Dietary Folate Equivalents). 240 mcg folic acid equals 400 mcg DFE.
Lycopene is a red carotenoid, a natural colourant from plants. It occurs naturally in tomatoes, watermelon and pink grapefruit.
