Nature's Way Alive!® Calcium Bone Support (60, 120 & 190 tablets) provides calcium and magnesium derived from Aquamin® (calcified red algae). The supplement is enriched with vitamin D3, vitamin K2. It also contains blends of organic vegetables and fruits that contribute to its unique composition.
Aquamin® is a mineral complex derived from red sea algae. These algae absorb minerals from seawater, including calcium, magnesium, and trace elements. After dying, the algae settle on the seabed, where they are harvested and processed into a powder.
In the Netherlands (and the EU), there are stricter guidelines for the maximum daily intake of, among others, vitamin D. Therefore, we have adjusted the usage advice on our website to European laws and regulations. This ensures responsible use that fits within the standards here.
This product contains 50 mcg of vitamin D per dosage of 2 tablets. In the Netherlands, it is advised not to exceed 75 mcg per day from supplements. Therefore, take into account the amount of vitamin D from other supplements so that you do not exceed this limit. If in doubt, consult an expert.
Yes, this product contains plant-based ingredients and is suitable for vegetarians. The vitamin D comes from lanolin (wool fat). Therefore, the product is not suitable for vegans.
