Nature's Way 5-HTP 50 mg (30 and 60 tablets) contains 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) derived from the seeds of the Griffonia simplicifolia plant. In addition to 50 mg 5-HTP, vitamin B6 and vitamin C have been added. The supplement is free from artificial additives and produced in accordance with strict quality standards.
5-HTP stands for 5-hydroxytryptophan, a substance that is converted in the body from the amino acid tryptophan and is found in the seeds of the plant Griffonia simplicifolia.
5-HTP can often be combined with other supplements, but cannot simply be combined with supplements containing tryptophan. Therefore, consult a doctor when combining supplements.
In the Netherlands, there is a legal upper limit of 21 mg per day for vitamin B6 in food supplements. Products from the United States sometimes contain higher dosages because different regulations apply there. To comply with Dutch regulations and ensure responsible use, we have adjusted the usage advice to a maximum of 2 tablets (16 mg vitamin B6).
