BONO Ashwagandha 300 mg (KSM-66®) (60 plant-based capsules) is a root extract of ashwagandha (Withania somnifera). Each capsule provides 300 mg KSM-66® extract, standardised to at least 5% withanolides. With an extract ratio of 12:1, 300 mg of extract is equivalent to approximately 3.6 grams of dried root.
The name comes from Sanskrit: ashva means horse and gandha means scent, referring to the smell of the fresh root. The herb helps to remain mentally and physically balanced during periods of stress.* In addition, ashwagandha helps you to sleep well.*
KSM-66® is an extract from Ixoreal. For the variety we use, only water is used as the extraction medium. It is a full root extract, not an isolated withanolide fraction. Standardisation fixes the withanolide content; the other plant substances from the root remain present.

Within the Ayurvedic tradition, the root is mainly used. Root extract fits well with the traditional use of ashwagandha. Leaf extract has a different composition and may contain other plant substances, including withaferin A.
