BioTechUSA Black Blood CAF+ (300 g) is a pre-workout drink powder containing caffeine, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Each 7.5 g serving contains 200 mg of caffeine from anhydrous caffeine and black tea extract (Camellia sinensis), supplemented with, among other things, 1,000 mg of L-arginine, 1,050 mg of beta-alanine, and 1,000 mg of L-citrulline. The formula also contains L-tyrosine, inositol, magnesium, zinc, niacin, vitamin B6, and BioPerine®, an extract from the fruit of black pepper (Piper nigrum). You take 2 servings per training day, each mixed with 100 ml of water: 1 serving 15 minutes before training and 1 serving during training. A 300 g pack is thus enough for 20 training days. Black Blood CAF+ is intended for adults aged 18 and over who already have experience with pre-workouts and caffeine, and is available in cola, blueberry and blue grape flavours.
The formula contains anhydrous caffeine, a concentrated form that is quickly absorbed.
Anhydrous caffeine is caffeine in powder form from which the water has been removed. Caffeine naturally occurs in, among others, coffee beans, tea leaves, cocoa beans and guarana seeds.
BioPerine® is a standardised black pepper (Piper nigrum) extract, which is often added to supplements due to the presence of piperine, a natural compound regularly included in sports formulas.
Inositol is a compound from the vitamin B family that is often included in sports products, and polydextrose is a soluble fibre that serves as a filler and solubiliser.
Vitamin B3 is present as nicotinamide and vitamin B6 as pyridoxine hydrochloride. Magnesium is added in the form of magnesium salts of citric acid, and zinc as zinc oxide. These forms are commonly used in powdered supplements, partly due to their stability, solubility, and compatibility with other ingredients in complex sports formulas.
L-citrulline is an amino acid derived from watermelon (Citrullus lanatus), where it naturally occurs. It is also found in smaller amounts in cucumber, pumpkin and melon.
