Shiepz is a Dutch brand that makes products for one purpose only: the evening and the night. It is produced by Vemedia in Diemen, the Netherlands. The range covers herbal tablets, liquid caps, melting tabs and an anti-snoring spray, mostly built on California poppy, valerian, passionflower, lemon balm and lavender oil, often with B vitamins added. Because the brand does nothing else, the formulas are easy to compare with each other.

Is Shiepz the same brand as Sleepzz?

Yes. Sleepzz was renamed Shiepz, and the recipes did not change with it. Shiepz Slaap Formule is the product previously sold as Sleepzz Powersleep, with the same ingredients. You will still see both names in older listings and reviews, which can be confusing when you compare products. If you used a Sleepzz product before and liked it, look for the matching Shiepz name rather than assuming it has been discontinued.

Because formulations get updated, always read the ingredient list on the pack you actually receive rather than relying on a general brand statement.

When should I take a Shiepz sleep tablet, and how fast does it work?

The instructions on the tablets say one hour before bedtime, with water, preferably at the same time each evening. Melting tabs are placed on the tongue and dissolve within roughly three minutes. Regularity matters more than the exact minute: your body responds to a predictable pattern. Be realistic about the timeline. Some people notice a calmer wind-down in the first nights, but for herbal formulas we would give it two to three weeks of consistent use before drawing conclusions.

Can I buy melatonin from Shiepz in the United Kingdom?

Accepted Answer

No. In the UK melatonin is regulated as a prescription-only medicine, so it cannot be sold as a food supplement, and products containing it are not available over the counter. That includes the 3 mg and 5 mg melatonin tablets Shiepz sells in the Netherlands for jet lag. If you think melatonin is right for you, that is a conversation with your GP. For UK shoppers, the herbal and vitamin formulas in the range are the relevant part.

The labels are specific, and worth reading. The sleep formula tablets are for adults from 18 years and are not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with autoimmune conditions, diabetes, epilepsy, or liver or kidney problems. Use is also discouraged alongside blood pressure medication, antidepressants, benzodiazepines or alcohol. Herbs can change how some medicines work, so if you take anything daily, check with your GP or pharmacist first. For lasting sleep problems, the NHS points to cognitive behavioural therapy as the first step.
