Question 1

What is HOLYSHOT?

Accepted Answer

HOLYSHOT is a drinks brand from Zwijnaarde in Belgium that makes organic functional juice shots. Each shot is a small glass bottle of concentrated juice, built around ingredients such as ginger, lemon, turmeric, pineapple, maté and guarana. The recipes are vegan and contain no added sugar. Some versions add a specific nutrient, such as magnesium or vitamin C. There is also an unrelated American energy drink with a similar name, which we do not sell.

Question 2

Which HOLYSHOT should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Pick by the moment of day rather than by flavour. The table below shows the practical difference between the shots in this range.

Shot	Main ingredients	Best moment
Ginger & Lemon	Ginger, lemon	Any time, daily
Ginger, Turmeric & Pineapple	Ginger, turmeric	Any time, milder taste
Maté & Guarana	Natural caffeine	Morning
Balance	Magnesium	Evening or after sport
Beauty	Vitamin C	Daily routine

If you are unsure, start with ginger and lemon and see whether you like the format.

Question 3

How many shots can I drink in a day?

Accepted Answer

One shot a day is the format the bottles are designed around, and that is what we would suggest as a normal habit. These are foods, so there is no fixed limit in the way there is for a dosed supplement, but two things are worth watching. The maté and guarana shot adds caffeine, so count it towards your daily coffee and tea. The shots with an added nutrient count towards your total intake of that nutrient from all sources.

Question 4

Do HOLYSHOT shots contain caffeine or sugar?

Accepted Answer

Only the maté and guarana shot contains caffeine, and it comes from the plants themselves rather than from added caffeine. The other shots are caffeine free. None of the shots have added sugar. They do contain the sugars naturally present in the fruit juice, which is why they taste sweet without anything being added. If you are pregnant, the NHS advises keeping total caffeine from all sources to 200 mg a day.

Question 5

Are the shots organic and suitable for vegans?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The range is certified organic, vegan, and made without GMO ingredients or lactose. The bottles are glass and recyclable rather than plastic, which is part of why the price per serving sits above a comparable plastic-bottled drink. We mention this openly: you are paying for cold-pressed organic juice in glass. Whether that is worth it depends on how much you value the format and the taste over the lowest cost per serving.

Question 6

Can I combine a shot with my other supplements?

Accepted Answer

Usually yes, and many people do. A juice shot is food, so it fits alongside a normal supplement routine without special timing. The one thing to keep an eye on is doubling up. If you already take a dosed magnesium supplement, the balance shot adds to that total rather than replacing it. Read both labels and count the nutrient once, not twice.

Question 7

How much vitamin C and magnesium do adults actually need each day?

Accepted Answer

The NHS gives the following reference amounts for adults aged 19 to 64. A juice shot contributes to these totals; it is not designed to cover them on its own.

Shot	Main ingredients	Best moment
Ginger & Lemon	Ginger, lemon	Any time, daily
Ginger, Turmeric & Pineapple	Ginger, turmeric	Any time, milder taste
Maté & Guarana	Natural caffeine	Morning
Balance	Magnesium	Evening or after sport
Beauty	Vitamin C	Daily routine

These are reference intakes, not personal advice. Most people reach them through food, with supplements filling gaps.

Question 8

Do the bottles need to be kept in the fridge?

Accepted Answer

Check the label of the specific shot, because storage depends on how it was processed. Unopened bottles in this range are shelf stable at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Once you open one, drink it the same day and keep it cold in the meantime. Cold-pressed juice with no preservatives has a short life after opening, which is exactly why the brand bottles single servings instead of larger volumes.
