BONO

After more than ten years and more than 50 brands, we know what standards a good supplement has to meet. With that knowledge, we make BONO Supplements. Every choice of form, dose and excipient has to be explainable, and we give that explanation too. BONO Supplements gets no priority in our shop. If a product from another brand suits what you're looking for better, we'll recommend it.

We choose the form that makes the best formula possible, not the other way around. Sometimes that's a capsule, sometimes a tablet or powder. A tablet often needs excipients to hold its shape. If we still choose a tablet, we tell you why. Comparing minerals? Then don't just look at the number of milligrams on the front. The compound determines how much pure mineral you get, and that's on the label.

BONO Supplements is made in the Netherlands by an IFS-certified manufacturer, and every batch is tested. Before a product goes online, we check the ingredients, the dose, the label and the claims against European and Dutch rules. We only use health claims permitted within those rules.

Not all of them, and we're honest about that. At BONO Supplements, we choose a plant-based alternative if it doesn't make the formula any less good. If that's not possible, we explain why on the label and the product page. Only want to see plant-based options? Take a look at our plant-based and vegan products.

A branded ingredient is a specific form of a substance, developed and researched by a single manufacturer. You can recognise it by the name on the label, such as TRAACS, KSM-66, Quatrefolic, K2VITAL or Magtein. We use them where they make a real difference, for example in how well a form is absorbed or how stable it stays. Two products can look alike on the label while the form differs. With a branded ingredient, you know exactly which form is inside.

For us, clean label means no additives used as excipients, such as silicon dioxide or magnesium stearate. Every ingredient is there for you, not for the production process. We follow the definition of NPN, the Dutch trade association for natural and health products. Not every product is clean label, because a tablet almost always needs excipients. If a product isn't clean label, we say so. What you won't find in any product: artificial sweeteners such as aspartame and sucralose, synthetic colourings and added sugars.
