ProHealth Longevity NADH + CoQ10 (60 capsules) combines 25 mg NADH (reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) with 100 mg coenzyme Q10 in the form of ubiquinone. The formula utilises patented DRcaps® delayed-release capsules, designed to release the ingredients later than a standard capsule. The vegetarian capsules are suitable for daily use and contain just one capsule per serving.
NADH stands for reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. It is a coenzyme that occurs naturally in living organisms, including animals, plants, and micro-organisms.
NAD+ and NADH are two different forms of the same compound. NAD+ is the oxidised form and NADH is the reduced form. These forms can naturally be converted into one another.
CoQ10, also known as coenzyme Q10, is a fat-soluble substance that occurs naturally in animals, plants, and other living organisms. In addition, CoQ10 is found in foods such as meat, fish, poultry, and organ meats.
Ubiquinone and ubiquinol are two forms of coenzyme Q10. Ubiquinone is the oxidised form, whereas ubiquinol is the reduced form. Both forms occur naturally and can be converted into each other under natural conditions. In this formula, CoQ10 is chosen in the form of ubiquinone.
A delayed-release capsule is designed not to disintegrate immediately after intake. The DRcaps® capsule used helps to protect the contents for longer during digestion, which means the ingredients are released later than with a standard capsule.
