NOW Foods CLA Extreme (90 softgels) contain a combination of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), green tea extract, guarana and chromium picolinate. CLA is a natural fatty acid, while green tea extract and guarana are well-known herbal ingredients. The product comes in a convenient softgel form.
CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is a fatty acid. It consists of different isomers of linoleic acid, of which c9,t11 and t10,c12 are the best known. CLA is often produced from vegetable oils such as safflower oil via chemical conversion of linoleic acid.
The green tea extract is derived from the Camellia sinensis plant and contains natural polyphenols.
Other commonly used forms are, for example, chromium chloride, a simple inorganic compound, and chromium yeast, in which chromium is naturally incorporated into yeast cells. The choice of a particular form often depends on the desired stability, solubility, and application in supplements.
Chromium picolinate is a compound of the mineral chromium with picolinic acid and is often used in supplements.
Guarana is a seed extract from the Amazon and here mainly serves as a source of caffeine.
