Solgar Chelated Copper (100 tablets) contains 2500 micrograms (2.5 milligrams) of copper per tablet, in a highly absorbable form. Only one tablet per day is sufficient. The tablets are small and easy to swallow. Packaged in dark glass for optimal protection against light, air, and moisture.
Copper is a trace element that is found in small amounts in foods such as shellfish, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.
This product contains copper bisglycinate – an organically bound form in which copper is linked to glycine. This form is often used due to its stability and the ability to control the mineral binding well.
'Chelated' means that the mineral is bound to an organic molecule, such as an amino acid. In this case, copper is bound to glycine, making it a bisglycinate.
