Jarrow Formulas Krill Oil 1200 mg (60 or 120 softgels) contains omega-3 fatty acids from Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba). Thanks to the MSO® extraction process, the natural triglyceride form is preserved. The omega-3 fatty acids in this supplement are partly phospholipid-bound. Krill oil is a source of omega-3 fatty acids and phospholipids, derived from Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba), small marine animals that live in the ocean.
Krill oil contains omega-3 fatty acids that are partly phospholipid-bound, whereas fish oil usually contains them in triglyceride form. Additionally, krill oil naturally contains astaxanthin.
Krill oil comes from krill, which is not commonly found in daily diets. However, omega-3 fatty acids can also be found in fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, and herring.
