Cordyceps sinensis is a fungus that originally grows wild on certain insects. In supplements, usually mycelium (the fungal threads) is used that is grown on plant-based substrates.

The mycelium consists of the fungal threads of cordyceps, while the fruiting body is the part that grows above ground in nature on caterpillars. This supplement uses only plant-based cultivated mycelium.

Standardized extracts guarantee a fixed amount of certain substances. In this case, every capsule contains 6% cordycepic acids and a natural content of polysaccharides.

Cordycepic acids are substances naturally present in the cordyceps fungus and are often used as a marker for standardization of supplements.

Polysaccharides are complex carbohydrates naturally found in mushrooms and fungi, including cordyceps.
