Hair Cream
What if you discovered a product that could tame, style, and nourish your hair without making it look or feel greasy? There is a product that can do exactly that. Namely, hair cream! Read on to discover more about this solution to many of your hair problems.
What is hair cream?
Hair cream, commonly called styling cream, adds a natural shine to coarse hair. It smooths your hair, removes frizz and flyaways, and keeps the hair in place without weighing it down or letting it collapse. However, styling spikes, mohawks, and pompadours isn't possible with creams. For those styles, you need wax and styling gel. Hair cream is especially a blessing for curly and long, unruly manes that get tangled easily. Applying cream gives curls or wavy hair a boost without weighing them down.
How did hair cream come about?
In the past, style-conscious men used a hair gel, allowing them to create a slicked-back look with a serious and intense shine. It's a look that is still often created today, but it results in heavy and greasy-looking hair. For many, hair cream has changed this, providing a natural appearance and effortlessly creating a well-groomed look.
Why hair cream?
Just like our body, our hair needs nourishment, and lots of it! Oils nourish the hair, but they also make the hair very greasy and leave it looking sticky. Hair cream does the opposite: it not only makes the hair look radiant and nourished, but it also works to keep the hair healthy.
How do you use hair cream?
Hair cream is ideal for daily use; these creams are created to be used before and/or after shampoo.
1. Hair cream before shampoo
If you apply it before shampooing, use it the way you would use an oil. The hair cream will then strengthen the roots, care for the hair, prevent hair loss, and also promote hair growth.
This is how you do it:
- Take a small amount of cream (pea-sized) into your palm and apply it directly to the roots and hair with your fingers.
- Give a gentle massage for a minute or two and let the cream soak in for at least 30 minutes on your hair and scalp before washing.
2. Hair cream as a conditioner, after shampoo
When you use hair cream as a conditioner after shampooing, you approach it differently, with the same effects as when you use it before shampooing:
- Apply hair cream after you have towel-dried your wet hair. Take some cream in your palm and distribute it evenly through damp hair after rubbing.
- Cover all the hair evenly and style as desired with your fingertips, scrunch for curly styles, or smooth with a brush for a straight look.
